Helipix UAV specialise in the use of the latest Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology to provide a cost effective and safer alternative to conventional aerial photography and high-level inspections. We have been providing aerial photography since 2008 and are one of the leaders in this field.
What is our service useful for?
Our aerial photography service can be used for the following -
Historic Buildings – If you need to carry out an inspection of a historic building then the traditional way to go about it would be to use a cherry picker or rope access. These are both costly as well as taking a good deal of time to set up and operate. Using our technology you can take as many pictures of you need and get within 2-3 metres of the structure to get ultra detailed shots.
Insurance Claims – Photographic evidence is extremely important for making insurance claims. Our UAV can provide clear photographs of a building from any angle, which often proves to be invaluable for helping with insurance claims.
Events – Because our UAV can fly up to 400 feet above the ground, we can take stunning aerial images of events and displays at an extremely affordable rate. This might be a large gathering of people who are performing a display that can only be appreciated from above or it could be a gathering of any type that you want to capture.
Marketing – Aerial photography is also excellent for marketing purposes. Whether you're selling a property or advertising a museum, hotel, stadium or theme park – aerial photography gives you a unique way to show off your building or establishment.
Work Progress – Another great use for our UAV is to show the progress of construction projects. The UAV can be programmed to take photographs from different angles via GPS, which means you can document the progress of any type of construction from whatever angle you desire.
3D Visualisation – If you require a 3D visualisation, then our UAVs are perfect for this. They will log all flights in order to provide key data. It's also possible to create panorama at a given height which is very useful if you want to visualise the view from a proposed development of a penthouse flat.
We were one of the first companies in the UK to be granted a permission to commercially fly UAVs under 7kgs. This means that we are able to use our UAVs virtually unrestricted up to 400 feet (120m). .
Our UAV systems are capable of obtaining high detail close up images of structures. This means we can get very detailed inspection photographs by flying close to a property or structure. Our system can be airborne within a few minutes and using the video downlink we can control the UAV to get a thorough set of inspection shots in high resolution.
