3CPD asked Helipix to present a seminar for RICS surveyors as part of their Continuing Professional Development.

The seminar was held at Maidenhead Golf Club and covered the use of UAV's in the field of building inspections and surveys. The seminar was well received with surveyors from many disiplines interested in this new technology.

The UAV was demonstrated in rather windy conditions and in fading light. Given that the camera took both these images at 1/50th secondthey have a very high degree of detail bearing in mind the adverse conditions.

The seminar covered the history of multi rotored aerial machines up to the Moller Skycar project. We also covered the uses of UAVs and how they current Air Navigation Order affects their use and how the CAA implement that law. As well as the benefits, safety and environmental advantages of using UAVs the seminar also covered the future of this technology and the advances in system control and managemment by research projects around the world.
